About product
Chemical Name: Imperatorin
CAS No.: 482-44-0
Chemical Structure: C16H14O4
Molecular weight: 270.28
Appearance: Light brown powder
Assay: 98%min
The imperatorin extracted from the dried roots of the genus Umbelliferae has been shown to have antibacterial,
antiasthmatic,antiallergic, dilated blood vessels, and inhibition of tumor cell proliferation. Lipid microspheres and liposomes are drug carriers prepared by using natural lipid materials such as phospholipids and cholesterol. With this carrier, drugs can be transported to the site of the lesions, and the drug molecules can be protected from degradation by biological enzymes. The pre-prescription study and drug stability test of imperatorin can provide a theoretical basis for the design optimization of the injection of imperatorin microspheres. The application of lipid microsphere technology to the study of imperatorin drugs can reduce the renal side effects of drugs under the precursors that maintain efficacy.
Function
Effect on the central nervous system
The effect of imperatorin on seizures was studied using the ma ximal electroconvulsive epileptic seizure threshold model in mice.The study found that intraperitoneal injection of 50 and 100 mg/kg-1 of imperatorin 30 minutes earlier could increase the voltage threshold of seizures in mice by 38% and 68%, respectively, and demonstrated that imperatorin improves mice with electrical stimulation. The effect of the onset threshold is dose and time dependent.
Effects on the cardiovascular system
The chromatographic retention peaks of imperatorin and verapamil were similar. It can reduce the protein content and cell volume of cardiomyocytes prestimulated by angiotensin I, and its effect is dose-dependent: the ratio of heart weight of spontaneously hypertensive rats treated with angiotensin I is significantly reduced, indicating that the effect of angiotensin I on both in vivo and in vitro is anti-hypertrophy.
Antibacterial and antiviral activity
Imperatorin has significant antibacterial and antiviral activity. Seven components were extracted from the flowers of Magydaris tomcntosa, and four components, including eucrutin, were tested for bacteriostasis. It was found that eucrutin had strong inhibitory activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (minimum bacteriostasis concentration was 32-128 mg-ml).
Application
1.Common cold due to wind-cold pathogens manifested as headache, stuffy nose, etc;
2. Headache, toothache, especially pain in the forehead and superciliary region;
3. Various infections on the body surface. For the treatment of acute mastitis, it is often used with trichosanthes fruit, fritillary bulb and dandelion; for various kinds of sores and swellings, it is often used with honey suckle flower, trichosanthes fruit and other drugs;
4. Leukorrhagia. For patients with profuse clear and thin leukorrhea due to cold-dampness, this drug is often used with white atractylodes rhizome, poria and cuttlebone; for foul yellow thick leukorrhagia due to damp-heat, it is used with phellodendron bark, plantain seed and other drugs;
5. Stomachache. It can be used with liquorice, named Deoction of Dahurian Angelica and liquorice.
